"Good News!" “ I will build my Church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.” Matthew 16:18
Here, Jesus tells his disciples that he would build his church. Jesus also makes it clear that not the grave, not death, not hell or all the powers of hell can prevent him from accomplishing his determined purpose. Now what this text tells us, recent history confirms.
"Good News" from Africa....did you know that there are more Christians living in Africa today than there are Americans living in the U.S.!
In 1900, there were less than 10 million professing Christians in Africa, but today there are an estimated 390 million African Christians. If this trend continues, Africa will become the most Christian continent in the world by 2025. Consequently, the Christianity that is being established in Africa today will shape the Christianity of the future.
Then why do we need missionaries in Africa?
While Africans identify with Jesus on a large scale: there are simply not enough theologically trained educators in Africa. African seeking further education usually go to the States or Europe, but 80% never return to Africa. At the African Bible College, we select Africans with the greatest potential and train them in Africa to be leaders who can strengthen the African Church that will shape the future of Christianity.
